On-site registration
A limited number of slots are available for late registration. There is a $300 registration fee, and each day is charged at $148
for room and $38 for meals.
For a one-day visit, including lunch and dinner, but not the overnight stay, the registration fee is $100, and the meals are $38.
Talks and posters
An overhead projector will be available for "traditional" slide presentations.
We expect that most talks will be presented from the speaker's notebook computer, and projector(s) will be provided.
Audio equipment has to be requested in advance.
There will be two poster sessions. The size of the poster should be 36" x 48", or slightly larger.
There is no limit on the number of posters presented
by an author, but please be reasonable.
Abstract booklet and proceedings
One abstract should be sent for each oral or poster presentation. The abstract should start with the title of the work,
followed by the list of authors, with affiliations (addresses). The text should be written in the style of the abstracts
in Physical Review B or similar Journals. Two lines of acknowledgments and a maximum of five references may be added
at the end. No figures or tables, please. No abstract should take up more than half a printed page.
Abstracts received before October 9 will be distributed to the participants upon arrival.
Instead of a printed conference proceedings, we will create a permanent WEB page, where the talks and posters presented at
this meeting can be accessed. We kindly ask all participants to send her/his presentation in advance, or give us a copy at
the beginning of the meeting.
Follow this link to send
the abstract, and the full content of the oral or poster presentation.
Transportation
If you sent us your itinerary, and you arrive Sunday, you will be notified by E-mail about local transportation. Contact Corinne Messana
(corinne.messana@bnl.gov) if you have questions.
People arriving to JFK on Sunday will be picked up at the International Terminal (Terminal 4), passenger pickup area B.
If your flight arrives to another terminal, please take the
Airport Shuttle (red-white-blue) bus to Terminal 4. Buses
will arrive at this pick up point at 12:00 noon, 2:00PM, 4:00PM and 6:00PM. Look for a small white bus, with
"WINSTON" and
"LEES 02" written next to the passanger side door. If you missed
the 6:00PM bus, or have any other problem, call the Yacht Club at 1-631-668-3100 and ask for the Conference Desk.
We contacted several other participants arriving to the airport and renting a car, and we will ask their help as needed.
Pick up times at Islip airport are 1:00PM, 5:00PM and 7:00PM. Wait for the bus outside of the bagagge claim area.
Again, if you miss the last bus, call 1-631-668-3100.
There will be no bus from New York City. We recommend
the Hampton Jitney bus service to Montauk.
If these travel arrangements do not correspond to your needs, please feel free to call a Limo service (see the
TRAVEL link above). However, we can not re-imburse your fare in this case.
