Magneto-optical far-infrared Spectroscopy at U12IR beamline of the NSLS Diyar Talbayev(1), G. Lawrence Carr(2) and Laszlo Mihaly(1), (1) Department opf Physics and Astronomy, Stony Brook University, NY 11794-3800 (2) NSLS, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY 11973 We describe the magneto-optical far-infrared spectroscopy equipment installed at the U12IR beamline of the National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS) at Bookhaven National laboratory. The instrumentation allows to study optical properties of materials in magnetic fields up to 16 Tesla and is well suited for observing and measuring electron spin resonance in solids. We present the demonstration experiments on the paramgnetic and antiferromagnetic state of LaMnO3.
