131 Demo experiments, Fall, 1999 |

These photos were taken on the last lecture of PHY 131, Fall 1999, entitled
"The most outrageous demonstration experiments". We started out with
the conservation of energy and momentum, and a concrete block was crushed
on Laszlo' stomach. We covered Newton's third law (rocket made of
a coke bottle), resonance in closed-end tube (dancing flames and music),
inertia (spinning eggs), torque and angular momentum (spinning a bycicle
wheel) and we had lots of fun. Thanks for the Instructional Lab (Joe and Frank)
for enduring our persistent requests and helping us to put up the show.
