Welcome to "Solid State Physics"
This 3 credit course is about the principal types of solids with emphasis on their thermal, electrical,
and optical properties; theory of electrons in metals; energy bands; phonons.
Applications to semiconductors, superconductors, magnetism, and magnetic resonance. Highly recommended
for physics majors, and to students interested in materials scinece or elecrical engineering.
